DELIVERY

question Where are our delivery areas?
answer We deliver to all of the City of Calgary and most surrounding communities.
question How are the meals delivered?
answer Your orders are transported in  polystyrene insulated boxes in our delivery vehicles.

Delivery charges

Regular orders are subject to a delivery charge of $5.00 within our Calgary city limits delivery areas. Deliveries to the outlying communities and towns are available, click here for information.


Coolers for delivery

Cookingforyou.ca encourages clients to provide their own cooler for delivery days when you cannot be available personally to receive an order. If you require one of our styro cooler boxes we charge a refundable $5.00 delivery box deposit. We can pick up the delivery box from your previous order the next time we deliver in your area or leave your new order in the same box. If second box is required we will charge another box deposit and credit it back to you when the box is next picked up. Please advise if you wish us to provide a cooler and when you wish a box to be picked up
question Why have a box deposit?
answer Because many people don't return their delivery box. It also helps protect the environment from unnecessary waste.
question What if I'm not home to take delivery?
answer Leave special instructions where to leave your order. Your order will be packed to keep your meals at the correct temperature for approximately 6 hours.
question Next day delivery?
answer If time slots are available, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please note that time slots are allocated on a first come, first served basis as customers submit orders.
question No delivery instructions advised?
answer If no delivery instructions are given, we will leave the order at your front door. If your front door is highly visible, we would appreciate alternative instructions. Unfortunately, we can take no responsibility for missing orders once we have delivered.
question Unable to follow your delivery instructions?
answer If we are unable to follow your instructions, we will leave a note in the letterbox or at your front door, advising where we have left your order. If we feel there is no secure place to leave your order and we are unable to contact you we will NOT leave the order. The second delivery will incur another delivery fee. If an animal is in the location where your box is to be placed we will not be able to leave the order.
question Live in a security unit and will not be home?
answer If you live in a security unit, please make arrangements for our driver to;
  1. Provide us with the buzz code or have a concierge or neighbour  let us in so they  accept the order on your behalf
  2. or provide alternative instructions
question Order not received on expected day
answer If your delivery has not been received on the confirmed day, please contact CookingforYou.ca within 24 hours to rectify.

DELIVERY POLICY

question What is the condition of purchase?
answer The customer will bear all risk in respect of the meals once they have been delivered as per your instructions, unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to delivery. CookingforYou.ca will not be responsible for any loss or deterioration, which occurs subsequent to delivery (due to non-timely collection or otherwise).

GUARANTEE

question What happens if I don't like your meals?
answer If you don't love our meals on your first order will refund your order. If you are not satisfied with an individual meal, we will replace the item with your next order. We would appreciate notification for replacement of meal or a refund within 24 hours of consumption.
question Can I return a meal?
answer No. Due to health issues we cannot accept return of meals once they have been delivered. We are unable to replace a meal that you ordered by mistake. If we packed an incorrect meal, we will credit the missing meal.

PRIVACY

question What happens with all my details?
answer CookingforYou.ca respects your privacy. We do not sell, rent, or loan any identifiable information regarding our customers to any third party. We may use and share aggregated information when it enables us to improve and enrich our product and content offering. Any information you give us is held with the utmost care and security.

Personal information, i.e. address, contact numbers are only collected when you make a purchase. This information is only used for fulfillment of orders, sending monthly menus, to offer loyalty bonuses, sending customized electronic messages and to service customers by way of telephone. Your information, i.e. name, address, special delivery instructions are stored on a customer file. We will follow your details and instructions for each order unless you advise us otherwise.

CookingforYou.ca will not reveal your personal information to any third party unless required to do so by law.

OUR FOOD & SERVICE

question What is the difference between frozen and chilled ranges?
answer Frozen meals are cooked and flash frozen in our state of the art Blast Freezer. Chilled meals are marinated meats and pies ready for you to bake, pan fry or BBQ.
question How is the chilled range packed?
answer All meals are vacuumed sealed. This removes the oxygen, which causes food deterioration and allows a shelf life of up to 10 days.
question How is the frozen range packed?
answer Either in microwaveable recyclable containers or foil containers then snap frozen to -18c. They are stored in a holding freezer until delivery.

Do foil containers go in the microwave?
Yes, foil containers will be fine in most microwaves. The trick is remove the lid, cover with plastic wrap and place the meal in the center of the microwave. If the microwave starts to spark, defrost in the oven.
question Is there a minimum order?
answer A minimum order of $50.00 (not including box deposit or delivery charge) is required for delivery within our specified delivery areas.
question What forms of payment are available?
answer Our on line store accepts Visa, Master Card and PayPal. Please note that all orders are charged in Canadian dollars.
question Can I pick up the order myself?
answer As we are not a retail store we are not always available for pick up orders. With prior arrangements meals can be collected from our kitchen at: #7, 4063 - 74th Ave SE
Foothills Industrial Park
Calgary, Alberta
Monday, Wednesday, or Friday with prior arrangements made.
question Do meals carry heating, cooking, and serving instructions?
answer All meals have specific, easy instructions for microwave, oven, stove, (or bbq for chilled meals). 
question Are your meals healthy?
answer You can enjoy your dinner even more knowing it's good for you!
All meals show the complete nutritional information. Also, the meals are free from preservative and additives. We do not knowing use genetically modified ingredients in our cooking. We also offer vegetarian meals, low sodium meals  and many of our meals are wheat and gluten free.
question How do I obtain my free meal for a referral?
answer When the person you referred fills out the new user, registration form please ask them to fill in the box that asks the name of the person that referred them to us. When they make their first order, we will arrange for you to receive your free meal with your next order.
